WHO WE ARE
Founded in 2022 on the Surfcoast of Victoria (Wadawarrung Country) by Elise Bonon and Alistair Stewart, Vivra Verra Wines is a boutique winery of crafted wines from the beautiful terroirs of Victoria.

The name Vivra Verra is coming from the French expression 'Qui vivra verra" meaning 'Time will tell'. Because we believe that time and patience are two of the most essential tools in the winemaking process.
WHAT ARE WE MAKING
All of our wines are vegan friendly, made with minimal interventions and from sustainable vineyards. Our philosophy is to produce wines true to the terroirs they come from.
The Team
ELISE BONON
Winemaker, Co-Founder
Born in France and raised in the region of Bordeaux where grapevines are very much part of the landscape, Elise quickly gravitated toward the wine industry with no hesitation and a great deal of curiosity. How cliché!

Learning from wineries such as Château Pichon Longueville Baron (Pauillac, France), Château Cantemerle (Medoc, France), Château Grand-Corbin (Saint-Emilion, France) and Mas des Bressades (Southern-Rhône Valley, France), Elise graduated with a Masters Degree in Winemaking and Viticulture from the University of Montpellier in 2015.

Wanting to discover the beautiful wines other countries had to offer, Elise enrolled for a vintage at Cliff Lede Vineyard in the Napa Valley (California). She then set sail for Australia in 2017 to work at Cupitt Estate (South Coast, NSW) where she would ultimately meet her partner Alistair.

Together, they moved to the Surf Coast of Victoria in 2018 where Elise worked as the Assistant Winemaker at Leura Park Estate (Bellarine Peninsula, VIC) before she made the jump to launch her own label, Vivra Verra Wines in 2022.
ALISTAIR STEWART
Co-Founder
Born and raised in Ballarat, Alistair met Elise in 2017 at Cupitt Winery, NSW, where he was managing the bar and assisting the winery team.
Cabinet Maker by trade, Alistair is a 'hands-on' character who is always up for new challenges. When not working, you'll often find Alistair out enjoying the waves of the Surf Coast.

The project of launching Vivra Verra Wines in 2022 with Elise presented Alistair, an exciting opportunity to discover all the aspects of the wine industry and to craft the wines that he enjoys drinking.
